Every Fernvale Pupil an Effective and Confident User of their Mother Tongue Language

Department Goal

  • To develop our pupils to communicate in Chinese Language effectively and confidently.
  • To inculcate in our pupils a sense of appreciation of the Chinese Language, Arts and Culture.

2011年，我校参与了教育部的《文化随意门》计划。为了配合这项计划，华文部为五年级的 学生举办了一系列与华文华语有关的文化活动，例如：戏剧营、观赏华语戏剧小品、华
语戏剧海报设计比赛等，希 望能培养学生学习华文的兴趣。

Learning Journey to Singapore Chinese Opera Institute

Our Primary 3 pupils visited the Singapore Chinese Opera Institute and were introduced the art of the Chinese Opera.  Our Pupils have learned the different opera movements and enjoyed the actions.

During Mother Tongue Week, our pupils participated in a series of cultural programme. Three Chinese Cultural Workshops were organised for our pupils during curriculum time to appreciate Chinese Culture in a fun and interactive way.  The following programmes were conducted:
Primary 1 & Primary 2 levels: Bean Art
Primary 3 & Primary 4 levels: Opera Mask Painting
Primary 5 & Primary 6: Seal Carving

  • The Cultural Performance Exposure Scheme
  • MTL Fortnight and Language/Cultural Camp
