Students who are Singapore citizens must sing the National Anthem and take the Pledge. Students will take the Pledge with the right fist placed over the heart. |

2.1 Attendance |
|
2.1.1 |
Attendance is compulsory on school days and at all school functions unless otherwise stated. |
2.1.2 |
Students must arrive at their assembly area (Hall/Parade Square/ Classroom) by 7.30am. |
2.1.3 |
Students must be punctual for CCAs, remedial/ supplementary classes, enrichment programmes and any other school activities. |
2.1.4 |
Students’ absence from school must be accompanied by a Medical Certificate (MC) or a letter of excuse from the parent. |
2.1.5 |
Students who need to leave the school early must seek permission from the class teacher and report to the office. Parents will be called to fetch the student home. |

3.1 Attire |

3.1.1 |
Students are to wear the prescribed school uniform and modification to the uniform is not allowed. |
3.1.2 |
School T-shirt to be tucked in at all times. |
3.1.3 |
Nametag to be sewn/iron-on within the designated thread marking on the shirt/blouse/PE T-shirt. |
3.1.4 |
Socks are to be FVPS socks or completely white with no other markings (brands). |
3.1.5 |
Shoes are to be completely black with no other markings. |
3.2 Hair and Appearance |

3.2.1 |
Boys’ hair should be at least two fingers’ width above the shirt collar. The fringe must be maintained at length above the eyebrows. |
3.2.2 |
All male students must be clean-shaven at all times. Moustache and beards are not allowed. |
3.2.3 |
Punky hairstyles or inner cut styles (inconsistent length and styles) are not allowed. |
3.2.4 |
Girls’ hair, if shoulder-length or longer, must be neatly tied up. The fringe, if below the eyebrows, must be neatly pinned up. Only black or dark green ribbons and hairpins are allowed. |
3.2.5 |
Coloured or highlighted hair is not allowed. |
3.2.6 |
Fingernails must be kept clean and short without any nail polish. |
3.2.7 |
Only one pair of small, plain ear studs are allowed for girls only with the intention to keep the ear hole from closing and not as a fashion accessory. |

4.1.1 |
Students must be respectful and polite when interacting with teachers and other school support staff. Students must show respect to teachers by paying attention during lessons. |

Studentsmust not take any property belonging to the school or others without given consent. |
4.1.3 |
Students are not allowed to use physical violence on anyone. |
4.1.4 |
All students are not allowed to have in their possession any weapon. They are also not allowed to bring any weaponlike item which is used or intended to be used to cause harm to others. |
4.1.5 |
Students are not allowed to engage in repeated or persistent behaviours that have the intention to cause hurt, distress or humiliation towards others. This includes posting inappropriate content online that involves the school, students or staff of the school, such as derogatory or hurtful remarks.Students are to refrain from destroying, removing or in any way defacing school property. |

4.1.6 Handphones and Other Devices |

4.2.1 |
Students are not allowed to use/wear any devices capable of recording audio or video in school or during official school activities outside of school. These include, but are not limited to, mobile phone, smart watches and accessories. |
4.2.2 |
Students are not to use smartphone and/or smartwatches^, during school hours including recess, CCA and after-school programmes (e.g. supplementary/ enrichment/remedial lessons). Students who bring such devices are to switch them off and to put them in lockers or school bags before school start time. |
^Exclude non-telecommunication devices, e.g. POSB Smart Buddy Watch, which allows contactless payment in school. |

4.3 Assessment Matters |
|
4.3.1 |
Students must be honest in all matters involving schoolbased assessments and national examinations. |
4.3.2 |
Students must not forge signatures of their parents/ guardians. |
|
|
If any of the above expectations are not met, students will be counselled
by their Form Teachers and their Parents/Guardians will be informed.
They may also receive one or more of the following consequences: (i) Detention classes for up to 5 days until 5.00 p.m. (ii) Suspension from Play@Recess, CCAs, lessons and/or school. (iii) Penalty in assessment and examination scores (for cheating cases). (iv) Corrective work.
